#2 HAPTIC CONTOUR AND TEXTURE DRAWINGS

#3 READING REFLECTION

The intro to “Thinking Hand” argues that the traditional way of thinking about the body is inaccurate. It claims that the mind is not the only part responsible for thinking or creating. It argues that the hand is equally as essential in the act of creative process as the mind. In my own personal life I find this to be true. Currently in my drawing class I am learning how to do blind line contour drawings, trysting my hand is doing the right thing without me looking at the paper. Most of the time when I trust my hand and dont peek at the paper the end result seems far better. I also often think about how touch and opersting with your hand often influences your thought process. Physically interqcting with good design should instinctually withdraw the purpose of an object from the user, primarily through the sense of touch.
